March 28 - Season Launch wine and cheese party, auction and raffle - Shiplock Views rooftop clubhouse, 2801 E. Main Street, Richmond (details to follow)
April 11/12 - Gazebo social gathering - sailing skill building activities
April 25 - SAILS UP! Some things are just easier with extra hands on deck, like the Spring task of putting up sails! But wait... Before you put those old halyards back up, join Jake Pender from Evolution Sails for a lunch & on all types of lines. Meet at the gazebo at 11:00 a.m. Bring your lunch and all your questions for Jake. Also, your wallet, because Jake is offering discounts on line from Evolution. Get the flyer here
April 26 - Earth Day Trash clean-up around the Locklies Creek using kayaks, dinghies and canoes. Meet at the gazebo at 9:30 a.m. Get the flyer here
May 2/3 - Blessing of the Fleet on May 2, brunch, Vessel Safety checks by US Coast Guard Auxiliary; more Sails Up days on afternoon of May 2 and May 3. Get the Vessel Safety Check form here
May 15/16/17 - Friday Gazebo social gathering; discussion and decision to be made about where folks will sail over the weekend, depending upon weather and wind direction
May 22-25 - Memorial Day cruise weekend, destination to be announced;
likely Mobjack Bay
June 5-7 - Aeolus Cruise, destination to be determined, pending the wind
direction
June 19 - Gazebo social gathering on Friday
July 4 weekend - Cruise or cookout, depending upon heat index
July 17 - Gazebo social gathering on Friday
July 18 - 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, education session held at the Freeshade Community Center - “Your Boat’s Electrical System” conducted once again by George Chabalewski due to popular demand - more details to follow via email in June
August 14 - Gazebo social gathering on Friday
August 15 - 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, hands on education session held at the Freeshade Community Center - “Basic Engine Maintenance” conducted by James Wagner using a diesel engine brought from the marina
September 4-7 - Labor Day weekend cruise, destination to be announced
October 2-4 - Turkey Shoot regatta, Rappahannock River
October 17 - Seafood feast at gazebos, details to follow
November 14 - Club annual meeting and chili cook-off at the gazebos; Sails Down event helping one another remove sails for the season
January 23 - Year End Rapp It Up party in Richmond; details and final date to follow

1) The above-mentioned events which are weather dependent are subject to change; informal anchor outs, cruises (short and long), regattas/races, movie nights, skill building and other activities may be announced throughout the year via email
2) Many of our events require RSVPs for planning purposes, so it is greatly appreciated by those planning the events for all members to RSVP in a timely manner
